Privacy Policy

The Lane County Human Resources Association (“LCHRA” or the “Chapter”), collects and maintains membership information as part of the services it provides to its members. Access to nonpublic personal information about members is restricted to the Society for Human Resource Management (“SHRM”), LCHRA, LCHRA’s Board of Directors and committee members who require the information in order to provide member services to our members.

LCHRA maintains a membership e-mail distribution list for the primary purpose of delivering meeting announcements, newsletters and job postings to members. E-mail distribution is the only method by which these items are communicated. Use of this list is designed to provide timely information the Board feels is relevant to chapter events or of special interest to our members. Use of this list without the written authorization of the LCHRA Board President is strictly prohibited.

The Chapter may share mailing lists (names and (e)mailing addresses) of our members to selected human resources affiliates and service providers as authorized in advance by the Board of Directors. Independent contractors and outside companies who perform work for LCHRA or SHRM are required to adhere to strict privacy standards through their contracts with the Chapter. Except as provided in this policy, the Chapter does not share member e-mail addresses with third parties.

The Chapter may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide information on individual members to the appropriate governmental authorities. In matters involving a danger to personal or public safety or as otherwise required by law, the Chapter may voluntarily provide information to appropriate governmental authorities.

LCHRA’s privacy policy is in compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003. You may opt out of participation in LCHRA’s distribution list by contacting, Annalise Burrington, SPHR, LCHRA President.
